Mgr Vincent Jordy and Mgr Benoît Bertrand are the new Vice-Presidents of the Conference of Bishops of France

Mgr Vincent Jordy and Mgr Benoît Bertrand have been elected as the new Vice-Presidents of the Conference of Bishops of France, alongside Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline as President, forming the new leadership starting July 1st.

The bishops, gathered at the Spring Plenary Assembly in Lourdes, elected Mgr Vincent Jordy, Archbishop of Tours, as Vice-President of the CEF under the previous Presidency (2022-2025), and Mgr Benoît Bertrand, Bishop of Pontoise, current President of the CEF's Doctrinal Commission, as the new Vice-Presidents of the Conference of Bishops of France.

Alongside Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline, Archbishop of Marseille, elected as the new President of the CEF on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, they will form the new Presidency of the Conference of Bishops of France (CEF) starting from July 1st.
